A space for you to come and exhale
Holistic & Integrative Therapy in Charlotte, NC
In person therapy sessions in Charlotte, NC,
conveniently located in the heart of South Park.
There’s something sacred about getting to do the good and hard work of therapy in person together. The feeling a space evokes is so, so important to me. To that end, I’ve been thoughtful in creating a place for us to do therapy together that is playful, curious, grounded and safe. My use of color is very purposeful because healing, growth, and change is a colorful process - truly! Plus I’ve sat in some very sterile and beige therapy rooms in my lifetime and it really didn’t lend itself well to the healing journey. So much of our work together is coming into the present moment, feeling and noticing what’s happening in your body, allowing space for whatever emotions need to arise. I want you to be able to do that hard, sometimes intense work in a space that feels hopeful and good.
Every week we meet together will be both different and familiar. Some weeks you might be going to a workout after our session or maybe it was all you could do to throw on sweats and get out of bed and show up. Maybe you had a big work presentation and you’re coming off the adrenaline rush as you walk into the office or maybe you have our session and then it’s full on carpool chaos for the rest of the afternoon. All in all, you have a lot going on and there’s something really grounding about the fact that the same cozy green couch will be waiting to hold you and all of the stories you bring into therapy that day. I once had someone tell me coming to my office felt like going to church (the good, safe, accepting, nonjudgemental, sacred kind) and I hope to offer you that same kind of experience.
Come for yourself and discover more of yourself, your story, and your body.
A safe space to land
Fig Holistic Psychotherapy is located in the heart of South Park across from Whole Foods. (Very easy to swing by and grab your groceries or lunch on the way out!) It’s close to surrounding neighborhoods like Cotswold, Myers Park, Dilworth, and Elizabeth. There’s plenty of free parking and a comfortable waiting room. If you need to take a call, please do so outside before coming to sit down. I usually encourage folks to arrive a few minutes early to allow yourself a few moments to slow down and connect with your breath. You can absolutely use the time to think about what you want to explore in your therapy session…and if you need one, here’s your permission slip that you are also more than welcome to use that time to think about absolutely nothing…Your mind is a full place and needs a break too.
If you’re sensing you could use a space like this to heal, reach out to schedule a free 15 minute phone consult to learn more about holistic therapy and how it can help you find more of yourself and more comfort being you.
ps. You might notice my office is quite full of books. That’s because I love them and I like to think their wisdom is keeping us company too. If you’re curious to know what books I recommend to clients most often, I’ve got a
whole library with my tried and true favorites just for you!
